A new all-weather astro-turf ground was inaugurated this month at the Astro Turf Arena, adding significant capacity for hockey fixtures across age groups — and, crucially, weather-proofing the early-season calendar against the tail of the monsoon.
The surface meets junior competition standards and will host the full Under-14 and Under-16 hockey programmes this season, with floodlit evening slots available for semi-finals and finals.
The association is grateful to the venue trust and to the affiliated schools whose ground-share agreements made the project possible.
